Cathy Studer

It's great to meet you!
I'm Cathy . . .

As a childhood sexual abuse survivor, I am passionate about helping guide others who have experienced similar trauma or any brokenness to improve their mental and emotional health. I have learned over the years what the healing journey is like and how to discover purpose again along with empowering yourself to live a fulfilling life. The journey is messy, comes with setbacks, and not a straight trajectory. Yet, know you are worth it. We are ALL worth it and every story matters. You Matter!

In my book, Broken to Beautifully Whole, I share my vulnerable childhood story and the step-by-step discovery process I walked through to find healing. Finding my true purpose propelled me to become an author, speaker, and facilitator to share with others what I experienced along the way.

I created the Broken to Beautifully Whole Workshop to compliment the book. It takes you on a journey to step into releasing the hurts or challenges and then adopting the six compelling attributes that lead you to more self-worth, confidence, and fulfillment. It ends with learning to embrace your scars, rather than hiding or disguising them. Invite a friend or co-workers and join us in the next workshop!

Because of my passion and hopes with preventing children from ever going through what I did, I became a certified Darkness to Light facilitator. In the Stewards of Children workshop, I guide parents, groups or organizations that work with children to raise awareness to how we, as a community, can defeat child sexual abuse by learning strategies and actionable steps to prevent and respond appropriately.

The Story Behind
Broken to Beautifully Whole

“Author Cathy Studer’s story begins with the trauma of years of sexual abuse by her step-father, but it doesn’t end there. Step by step, she takes the reader through attributes that healed her, that are applicable not just to abuse survivors, but to anyone dealing with challenges who wants to move toward healing and wholeness. From encouragement to applying gratitude in your life (because finding things to be grateful for increases our happiness), to learning self-compassion rather than self-criticism, to forgiving in order to establish your own worth and joy, she offers practical advice and encouragement. “You have the choice to live with joy and purpose. You have the choice to not let your tragedy or trauma define you.” Wise words and advice from a survivor with not just a compelling story, but a voice for strength and hope.”
