How do we empower our children and reduce their vulnerabilities with sexual abuse?
The sexual abuse statistics are very uncomfortable, yet they are our reality. 1 in 6 boys and 1 in 4 girls will be sexually abused before their 18th birthday. The average age for a child to be abused is age 9. We, as a society can overcome these statistics by teaching our children what body boundaries are and what consent truly means.
As a Darkness to Light Facilitator, I share the “5 Steps to Protecting Our Children”. In this workshop you will learn the facts, minimize opportunity for sexual abuse tragedies, recognize the signs and act responsibly on behalf of the child, learn how to teach consent and boundaries. This is recommended for parents, teachers, churches, or any adult that works with children that has a passion to protect our children from this tragedy.
- The cost is $55 per person; contact for group rates.
- 2 hours in length.
- Stewards of Children qualifies for CEU hours.
- Best facilitated in person, yet a virtual training is offered as well.
